ABSTRACT
Iron oxide nanoparticles are synthesized using the flower extract of Rhododendron arboretum by the coprecipitation method and analyzed for their anticancer activity. Synthesized FeO NPs were characterized by Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD). SEM determined the shape and particle size of the synthesized FeO NPs. The synthesized NPs were hexagonal in shape with average particle size of 40 nm. FeO NPs with 1% weight of flower extract displayed anticancer activities (IC50 of 4.655) against L6 cell line.
