Manuscript Structure & Guidelines
Authors are requested to prepare their manuscript in strict accordance with the following structure. Manuscripts that deviate substantially from these guidelines may be returned for revision prior to review.
Formatting. The manuscript should be typed in double spacing throughout, with a minimum left margin of 4 cm, in 12 pt Times New Roman.
First page. The first page should bear the title of the paper, the name(s) of the author(s), the address of the institution or laboratory at which the work was conducted, an email address, a running title of not more than five words, and a full address for correspondence, including a mobile number.
Title. The title should be concise and specific to the contents of the article.
Abstract and keywords. An abstract not exceeding 250 words should be provided, containing no references, followed by not more than five keywords.
Introduction. The introduction should be brief and to the point, and may include a pertinent review of the relevant literature.
Materials and methods. This section should describe the study site, where applicable, together with the materials and experimental techniques employed. Where methods are already well established, reference to the standard work will suffice.
Results and discussion. These sections may, where appropriate, be combined so as to avoid repetition, and should be followed by acknowledgments, if any.
Tables and figures. Figures and plates should not exceed 26 × 36 cm, with lines and symbols sufficiently bold to remain legible upon reduction to 25% of their original size. Tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals and provided with appropriate titles; data presented in tables should not be duplicated in figures.
Nomenclature. The complete scientific name — genus, species, and author — together with the cultivar where relevant, should be given at first mention, with the genus abbreviated thereafter.
Citations and references. All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list, and vice versa, arranged alphabetically without serial numbers. Full guidance on citation style and reference formatting is provided on the Editorial Policy page.
