Editorial Policy

Original contributions — full papers and short communications in basic and applied biological research — are considered for publication in Annals of Biology. Critical mini-reviews on current topics are also published.

Every manuscript is reviewed by two expert reviewers. Submission implies the paper is not under simultaneous consideration by, and has not previously been published in, any other journal. The publishers and editors assume no responsibility for the views and statements of authors in their papers.

Format. Double-spaced throughout, minimum 4 cm left margin, 12 pt Times New Roman. Submit by email to editorial@agribioj.com, addressed to B.D. Chaudhary, 121 Mohalla Chaudharian, Katra Ramlila, Hisar – 125001.

First page. Title, author name(s), laboratory or institution address, email, a running title of no more than five words, and a full correspondence address with mobile number.

Title, abstract & keywords. The title should be short and specific. The abstract should not exceed 250 words and should contain no references, followed by up to five keywords.

Introduction. Brief and to the point, with a pertinent review of relevant literature.

Materials and methods. Description of the study site (where applicable), materials, and experimental techniques. Well-known methods may simply be cited to standard work.

Results and discussion. These sections may be combined to avoid repetition, followed by acknowledgments, if any.

Figures and plates. No larger than 26 × 36 cm. Lines and symbols should remain legible at 25% reduction; group smaller figures to fill a page where possible. Supply a separate, double-spaced sheet explaining all figures and plates. Use metric units only throughout the text and figures.

Nomenclature. Give the complete scientific name — genus, species, and author — plus cultivar where relevant, at first mention; the genus may be abbreviated thereafter. Chemical nomenclature should follow the Handbook for Chemical Society Authors.

Tables. Numbered with Arabic numerals, typed on separate sheets with appropriate titles. Data presented in tables should not be repeated in figures.

In-text citations appear as Basra and Malik (1985) or (Basra and Malik, 1985), depending on sentence construction. For papers with more than two authors, use et al. with the first author’s name. References are listed alphabetically without serial numbers, with journal names abbreviated per the World List of Scientific Periodicals; every in-text citation must appear in the reference list, and vice versa.
